An improved Miami Beach benefits residents, visitors

An interconnected, thriving local arts and culture scene in Miami Beach, that anchors transformative new projects, enhanced venues featuring modern technology, new furnishings and aesthetic appeal, goes hand-in-hand with providing rich and diverse experiences for residents and visitors alike. There are likely not many who would argue the contrary.

Miami Beach is a highly coveted community to live, work, play and visit. Its cultural institutions enrich quality of life for those who call it home and provide vacationers memories that last a lifetime. The city’s leadership recognizes that cultural venues around the world compete to attract the best programming and diversity of audiences. To remain competitive and viable, Miami Beach’s existing cultural institutions must commit to upgrading infrastructure.

In addition to the completion of the 800-room convention headquarter hotel, many of our efforts at the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau to attract visitors for leisure, business, meetings and conventions to Greater Miami and Miami Beach can be traced to accessibility of cultural assets.

Our Greater Miami & the Beaches Hotel Association members have been engaged in numerous sessions on the anticipated positive impact of improved and modernized arts, culture and event venues on Miami Beach. We support the referendum the mayor and city commission approved to stimulate sustainable growth via arts and culture investments, and fully appreciate how this stands to benefit residents and local businesses.
