No ‘Wyn’
Re the Oct. 9 photo Wyn-formation: Those plastic orbs that the Art Experience released last Wednesday are not biodegradable. They will float west to the Everglades and gradually deflate and sink to the ’Glades or ride a cold front to the Atlantic to the same watery demise. I don’t know what hazard they pose to marine life, but I know they are unwanted litter whether they land in the water or on our lawns. Sailing in the Bahamas, we once altered course a half mile seeing something on the water that we feared was a broken boat or life raft. It was a bunch of helium balloons, tied together, bobbing in the water, the corporate event they were celebrating still evident.
