Manageable class size
Instead of giving teachers bonuses for their college entrance-exam scores to retain the brightest teachers in the field, the $44 million should be given to Miami- Dade public schools to reduce class size (Old tests may give teachers pay boost, July 4).
Rep. Erik Fresen and his colleagues should be concerned about upholding Florida’s constitutional amendment for the reduction of class sizes. If you want the brightest teachers, then keep classes small so students and teachers can perform at their best.
