Foster parents needed

Re the July 4 article Girl recalls horrors of foster care: I’m responding with a practical solution to avoid more horror stories about child welfare foster home care.

For years, I volunteered as a Guardian ad Litem and as a panel member of the Foster Care Review program. This is where the needs and concerns of children in foster care are evaluated with reports sent directly to their juvenile court judges.

There’s an urgent need for more warmhearted Miami-Dade families to become loving foster parents, especially to the children who have become “lost cases.”
