Doctor saved me

Thanks for the Oct. 3 article Medical dynamic duo die just months apart, on the recent passing of Dr. Thomas Gentsch and his wife, Betty. Born with a congenital heart disease — tetralogy of fallot — I was fortunate that my family moved to South Florida, for it was Dr. Gentsch, in 1963, who performed a open-heart surgery on me when I was 9 years old.

Noticing today’s date, I’d say he did a helluva job!
