Protect mangroves

Re the June 27 article Miami cuts mangroves to make way for boat show:

Have officials lost all respect for our environment? Is the lure of money greater than the caring of our resources?

Shame on those who authorized the cutting of protected mangroves around the Miami Stadium.

We are on this Earth to protect it, not destroy it. However, our leaders have made it their mission to acquiesce to the demands of developers and ignore the fragility of our area.

We need to demand better stewardship and accountability from our elected officials and government employees. We need our voices to be heard and our environment protected. Let us not keep silent.
