Dominican deportations

Re the June 17 article Deportations loom in Dominican Republic for Haitian migrants who failed to register: Events reminiscent of the Nazi Nuremberg laws of the 1930s and other historic injustices are unfolding in the Dominican Republic, where hundreds of thousands of Haitian-Dominicans face summary deportation after being stripped of their citizenship despite generations in the country.

As events play out, President Obama’s silence in the face of these violations may stain his legacy.
