A tale of two buildings: The crassly commercial Miami Innovation Tower and cleverly designed Berkowitz Translucent Anvil. Both have graphic elements. MIT is a flagrant ploy for advertising revenue and BTA is a prestigious contribution to Miami’s Art in Public Places for all to enjoy for free.
Both are challenged by the city of Miami. MIT is an eyesore to Miami’s skyline, BTA is an innovative threat to convention.
Which will win approval? I shudder, commercial opportunism will prevail.
