Protecting puppies
Re the Sept. 29 article Miami places six-month moratorium on new puppy stores: I’m glad Commissioners Francis Suarez and Marc Sarnoff are supporting a hold on new pet shop licenses while the city investigates the source of animals shipped to such stores. Once it’s proven that puppy mills are the overwhelming suppliers, I hope the commission moves to ban the sale of commercially bred dogs and cats at stores in the city.
This will protect consumers and animals.
