Florida’s flag isn’t racist

T.D. Allman should look into Florida’s history and stop trying to incite bigotry in our community. As a native Miamian, I was required to study Florida’s history at an early age.

The red cross was added to the state flag in 1900 by act of the Florida Congress. It is the red cross of St. Andrew on a field of white with the state seal in the middle. Tell me now, how does that represent bigotry?
