Hannah Allam was clearly deeply troubled by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s comparison of Hamas to ISIS in the Sept. 30 article Netanyahu links Hamas, IS in his UN speech. She couldn’t even get through the first paragraph without criticizing Israel for its summer offensive in Gaza.
If by “offensive,” she means defending the state against suicide bombers and removing tunnels built to deliver bombs, then yes, it was very offensive indeed. Call me crazy, but when terrorists kill and maim innocent people in the name of God, they are all the same, whether their name is Hamas or ISIS.
