Air show absurd
Re the June 15 article Old Glades fight back with push for air show: Here we go with another greedy attack on the Everglades.
This time it comes from Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez who foresees a Miami International Aerospace Show at the failed jetport site in far western Miami-Dade County. A particularly nauseating quote regarding a selling point of the jetport site was that it is “uninhibited by residential and commercial development.”
Apparently he and other supporters of this egregious affront to the Everglades do not enjoy the peaceful tranquility offered by wilderness areas like Everglades National Park and the Big Cypress National Preserve.
