Sunday’s front page was devoted to Jeb Bush, Miami-Made. This was not news, just a full-length feature article gushing about Bush’s Miami connections. Then, in the Issues and Ideas section, two articles were devoted to knocking Sen. Marco Rubio.
I am no Rubio fan, but even Carl Hiaasen seems to have lost his compass. Rubio doesn’t come from a well-connected family; the Rubio name didn’t land him on the boards of various companies at six-figure salaries. Yes, it’s important to analyze Rubio’s financial acumen, but why does Bush get a pass?
