Re Carmen Morris’ June 8 column, Moms can get to the heart of the violence: She should first address the problem of controlling the number of young black men acting out criminally. She needs to work with black women and girls to put an end to the high percentage of black boys growing up without fathers. At least slow down the rate of fatherless black boys coming into society before addressing the existing population.
It is quite obvious that these mothers are not able to control the delinquency of their sons. Those boys need fathers to control them.
