The United States spent hundreds of billions of dollars and sacrificed lives and catastrophic injuries in what turned out to be a war that alienated a large number of the world's Muslims. Why are we not spending a minuscule percentage of that amount in an effort to regain the appreciation and respect of that population by showing leadership in an attempt to ameliorate the plight of so many Muslims who constitute a large portion of a worldwide refugee catastrophe?
