I got caught up in last week’s traffic jam because of President Obama’s $33,400-per-person fundraiser at the home of Stephen and Sabine Bittel.
Sixty donors got together for dinner and raised about $2 million for the Democratic National Committee. Local taxpayers picked up the majority of the tab for traffic and security expenses. Why can’t these donors pay instead, and also reimburse me for the extra gas used and the inconvenience because of the traffic jams? My vote for president carries the same weight as these local big shots.
