Slippery slope

The idea of American “boots on the ground” in the Middle East is referred to as a slippery slope. There are many ways we can, and must, help with the fight short of our soldiers going into battle. ISIS and other terrorist groups are committing widespread murder and creating mayhem that could have dire consequences for those regions, the United States and the rest of the world.

The complexities of dealing with such madness are enormous. But before America loses its footing and goes down that slippery slope by sending combat troops into the fight, it is vital that we understand the consequences.
