Teen should have been denied bond
Re the Sept. 23 article Student charged with rape, attempted murder: Everyone demands good teachers. What is the role of the teacher today? Counselor, negotiator, mentor, role model, protector, giver of information, facilitator and guide make up just a short list.
Teachers should be given utmost respect. Victor Nash, an 18-year-old student, allegedly abused a teacher by choking her to unconsciousness, slammed her body to the ground, sexually abused her and the judge did what? Allowed bond? Anyone who has ever had a teacher should be absolutely outraged.
