Tuesday is National Gun Violence Awareness Day. Everytown for Gun Safety (everytown.org) is calling on concerned people across America to wear orange in memory and honor of those who have been killed with guns.
We have a glaring epidemic of gun violence in Miami. Far too many children and teens are gunned down in the inner city. For the Everytown movement, the color orange symbolizes the value of human life. I pledge to wear orange for all the young shooting victims in Miami. With awareness comes hope for action to stop the senseless violence that claims so many young lives.
