While horrifying to read the May 18 editorial Busted in Miami Beach, it described racist and brutal police behavior towards minority youth that needed to be exposed.
Maybe after reading about undercover Miami-Dade officers taking a blind young man — whose stepfather dared to videotape an encounter between officers and a group of black youth — miles from his home and leaving him there, fewer people will wonder why innocent, young black men sometimes do not readily submit to being taken into police custody.
