Van Dyke just a memory
Recently, my wife and I biked across the Venetian Causeway to Miami Beach to meet friends for lunch on Lincoln Road. On the way to Books & Books Cafe, we walked past where the Van Dyke Cafe used to be.
Unfortunately, the restaurant is gone, and the new facade reminded me of a generic storefront in some half-empty suburban strip mall.
It was pretty sad.
