If it’s December, Wynwood transforms for Art Week

It’s the first week of December in Miami and that means one thing: Art Week.

In Wynwood, we’ve been busy for months making plans to host the hundreds of thousands of art lovers from around the world who will visit our arts district in the coming days.

The world’s top street artists are busy giving Wynwood’s renowned street murals a fresh coat of paint and a new dose of inspiring, thought-provoking installations.

The street event will stretch from Northwest 20th street to 29th street along Second Avenue.

Wynwood has been through plenty of challenges throughout its history, but one constant is that it continually reinvents itself and pushes the innovation envelope.

We’re seeing the year, the Wynwood Business Improvement District (BID) and the City of Miami are teaming up to transform Northwest Second Avenue into Art Week Main Street, a pedestrian-only promenade for visitors to enjoy all that Wynwood has to offer during afternoons and evening hours from Dec. 7 through Dec 9.

Art Week Main fruits of that now.

Today, Wynwood is home to renowned independent galleries, eateries, microbreweries and the most remarkable collection of street art anywhere.

New residential and office buildings are under construction and soon, they’ll bring new residents and workers to the district, transforming Wynwood into a true live-work-play neighborhood.

While the district continues to grow, we invite you to enjoy Art Week in Wynwood.

As always, our art is free, open to the public and can be viewed whenever is best for you.
