I am appalled at the city of Miami’s complete disregard for the environment, the approximately 13,000 residents of Key Biscayne and the hundreds of people who visit Cape Florida and Crandon Park beaches.
The city is going ahead with plans to bring large crowds to Virginia Key for the Miami Boat Show.
It also is contemplating many other projects, which would bring thousands of people who will need to use the only road available in and out of the Key.
Traffic is going to be a nightmare and a problem for emergency vehicles. Even now there are real heavy traffic problems daily, especially on weekends when large crowds of visitors come to enjoy the beaches. Does money count more than the well-being of the Key Biscayne residents and the environment?
