Floyd Mayweather’s example

Acceptance of Floyd Mayweather as world boxing champion is simply acceptance of violence. With his history of domestic violence, he would be dismissed immediately from any professional football or baseball team. It is a sorry lesson for young people that beating each other’s brains out in an activity that, on the street, would be reason to be arrested for assault and battery, in this case is rewarded with adulation and millions of dollars.
