After serving 14 years as president of the University of Miami with distinction, Donna Shalala will head the Clinton Foundation.
Why would she, in the twilight of her years, want to be thrown in the middle of the foundation’s current scandal, though yet unproven, and have her name sullied? She honored President Clinton and the nation with her past service in his Cabinet. If a foundation and noble causes are her remaining goal, I suggest that she use her fund-raising prowess for the Gates Foundation, whose reputation, like her own, is intact.
