No consulate in Tampa

State Rep. Kathy Castor cheerily opined that if Miami doesn’t want Castro’s consulate, Tampa would welcome it.

This is insane, given the rivers of blood that Fidel and Raúl Castro have spilled, with firing squads annihilating people, wholesale confiscations of our properties, espionage against the population by internal police, G2, and so on.

Many people in Tampa will strongly protest the statement from Castor that Tampa would welcome such a consulate. We, too, deny that outright and protest her statement.

We do not want any commu-nist consulate here, especially the Castros’. They forced Cubans into the diaspora. No, we do not want the consulate of war criminals in our midst.
