Senator Menendez’s indictment

It’s not unusual for elected officials to intercede on behalf of constituents and allies. It’s done all the time.

Attorney General Eric Holder presents no evidence, no wiretaps, no smoking-gun emails that convert legitimate political giving into an explicit quid pro quo. Sen. Bob Menendez met Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius in the office of Sen. Harry Reid.

Reid shamelessly lied on the Senate floor about candidate Mitt Romney not paying taxes and his own PAC received another $100,000 from Dr. Salomon Melgen. Reid should also be indicted.

The Justice Department’s open-ended definition of corruption, applied consistently, would make every politician in America a felon, including Hillary Clinton and her foreign donations.
