It’s not difficult to foresee Sen. Marco Rubio’s and Gov. Rick Scott’s plans for the future. Rubio is running for the presidency, but winning is a long shot. He is aware of that.
The grind will give him continued national status and name recognition for what he really has a good chance of winning: Florida’s 2018 gubernatorial race. Winning that will also position him for a 2020 presidential run; having acquired executive experience and a few gray hairs that indicate maturity.
As for our beloved governor, one can easily see the prospect of a run for the Senate. The slot could be open by then.
Where is Bob Graham? We desperately need a savior here.
