Obama rewards enemy

The aggression suffered by a group of Cuban democrats in Panama on Thursday comes from a regime accustomed to acting against peaceful opponents with violence and impunity.

These are the actions of an impenitent regime determined to retain absolute power at all costs. This is the same regime that President Obama hopes to influence through engagement and good will. By unilaterally and unconditionally dismantling our policy of containment against the Castro regime, we are only rewarding an obdurate, unrelenting enemy of everything the United States stands for.
