Bias goes on and on

One almost begins to feel badly for those poor members of the extreme right whose apparent need to discriminate against somebody is being thwarted at every turn. The types of people one is able to legally victimize keeps shrinking.

Desegregation hasn’t gotten them a seat at the front of the bus for decades. Now it’s also illegal to discriminate against people because of age, national origin, disability or gender. Until recently, at least they had the LGBT community to bash, but even that is threatened because of the Indiana snafu. So where can small-minded bigots turn for support?

Not to worry, the Florida Legislature is always happy to oblige. Rep. Jason Brodeur from Sanford has stepped up to the plate with a proposal to allow private adoption agencies to discriminate against gay couples. And the fight for the right to hate continues in the Sunshine State.
