Where’s lawmakers’ civility?

Comparing guns and gator attacks in the March 30 article Gauging danger: gators and guns, is non sequitur. An argument overlooked: Gators usually attack and kill for food. People using guns can kill anyone, anytime, anyplace — and not for food.

It appears some of Florida’s legislators have misplaced their civility and common sense by inviting more guns into educational communities through legislation that would allow people with concealed weapons permits to carry guns on campuses. Where is the logic in passing this legislation from supposedly educated, peaceful leaders?
