‘Critical mess’
El Clásico was a great event held in a second rate city. I had friends come in from Los Angeles for the match. They were staying on Miami Beach.
On Friday, I had to explain Critical Mass to them and why I was an hour late for dinner.
After the match, I was two hours late to pick them up, because the northbound Turnpike ramp from I-95 was closed. No problem. Then northbound Northwest 27th Avenue closed at 191st street.
I felt embarrassed. My friends waited more than three hours for pickup at the stadium.
