More Republican

Re the July 27 letter “Senators are not Republican enough:” If I am a Republican and a U.S. senator, I am required to agree with everything the Republican Party proposes? If this is the case, then why bother bringing my brain with me to Washington, D.C.?

I guess taking away someone’s free will and not allowing dissension is the new Republican way.

As for we non-Republicans who disagree, I suppose we’re just troublemakers.

Anyone ever hear of taxation without representation?

Well, that’s how many Americans are feeling right now, and we all know that doesn’t work well in a democracy.
