Pass sex-trafficking bill

Sen. Bill Nelson has come out strong against a sex-trafficking bill that would create a fund for victims with monies collected in fees from the traffickers. He has voted to filibuster this popular bill, because it includes a standard Hyde Amendment, banning federal funding of abortion with exceptions for incest, the life of the mother and rape.

He’s out of step with the majority of Americans, who consistently oppose paying for abortions with taxpayer dollars. Instead, he’s in league with the wealthy and influential abortion lobby, which puts its bottom line ahead of the health and well being of women..

The senator should defy the abortion lobby and vote for this bill, which would be one small step toward helping these poor women rebuild their lives.
