Penalty for paying?

I received a ticket for a red-light camera action and paid it promptly — even though it was not due until April. Now I read in the March 18 story City will keep red light cameras, that 24,000 pending tickets were dismissed until the camera matter is settled. My question: Will I be getting a refund or will I be penalized for doing what is right?

I directed this question to the city attorney in Fort Lauderdale and hope to get an answer. I suspect that I’m not alone in this.
