Health vote delayed
Now that Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has postponed the Senate vote on the revised healthcare bill, I'm struck by two things:
▪ How wonderful it must be for John McCain to have the ability to take time off to handle his healthcare needs with full support of his co-workers.
▪ How wonderful it must feel to have more-than-adequate health insurance, with nary a consideration for cost, treatment options, recovery time, payment, reimbursement of fees, job security, and all the other things that most Americans have to worry about when they are ill, need surgery, or give birth.
I hope that all our elected leaders can somehow put themselves in the shoes of the majority of Americans who worry about what will happen if, and when, they need healthcare.
