More than abortion

Defunding Planned Parenthood would not just hurt women in need of abortions, but, in reality, anyone wishing to get Pap smears, birth-control options, STI testing/treatment, and pregnancy testing and options counseling, just to name a few services offered.

Attacking Planned Parenthood and reducing support for reproductive healthcare is not something to be taken lightly; the unmet need for reproductive healthcare actually kills hundreds of thousands of people yearly.

People don’t realize that half of Planned Parenthood centers are in rural or medically underserved areas. In a lot of cases, patients have no other places to get healthcare services.

Federal dollars only support Planned Parenthood’s cancer screenings, testing/treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, and other healthcare services and information.

Planned Parenthood is absolutely essential for maintaining access to both women’s and men’s reproductive healthcare.
