Taken for a ride

Not only should Uber drivers speak English, they should be able to read it. My driver in downtown Miami assured me he spoke English. I soon realized he couldn’t, but I knew he would hear his instructions in Spanish. He was told to exit at Ives Dairy Road, but I couldn’t get him to leave the express lane and get off I-95 until deep into Broward County.

Shouldn’t drivers be able to read as well as speak English?

Uber kindly refunded my fare.

Dolores Stern,

Aventura
