Trump not clueless
Paul Ryan’s asserted that President Trump was simply clueless about his private conversation with former FBI Director James Comey, saying that the president, as a newcomer, “was just new to this.”
But Trump wasn’t clueless when he cleared out high-level officials, including Jeff Sessions from the Oval Office before his one-to-one meeting with Comey, where he asked the FBI director to drop the investigation of Michael Flynn.
Trump knew exactly what he was doing, and to suggest otherwise is pure nonsense.
