Foreign war

Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said we are not winning in Afghanistan and we need a new strategy. How about coming home?

We’ve been mired in political intrigue — and war — in Afghanistan since 1979, more than 38 years. Afghanistan is 8,000 miles from our borders and is a pile of rocks.

President Trump proudly proclaimed that the recently dropped Mother of All Bombs (MOAB) made little rocks out of big rocks.

There is nothing to win and no reason for us to be there.

Let’s pull our soldiers out of harm’s way and not squander our resources on dumb decisions.

Where are the wise men when you need them?
