Keep the rules

From the Flint poisoned-water crisis, to the financial industry mortgages, to the auto industry emissions cheating, the list of of entities that deceived and injured us — even during Democratic administrations with reasonably funded regulators — is long and justifiably infamous.

We are returning to the days of unfettered corporate villains who, in the name of profit, will cheat and lie as the teacup watchdog is chained. It will happen under the public radar and the effects, such as lead poisoning or increased pollution, will not be felt until long after the enablers are gone.
