Jim Morin’s art

Miami Herald Executive Editor Aminda Marqués Gonzalez’s May 28 commentary, “Pulitzers celebrate powerful journalism in an era when it matters most,” reinforces that much deserved congratulations are due to Jim Morin for attaining his second Pulitzer Prize.

The cartoonist’s achievement demonstrates that, as Mark Twain asserted, “I’m better than George Washington who could not tell a lie,” and better than the then-aspiring, axe-swinging, Trumpkin tree-chopper who “can tell all the lies he wants” depicted in Morin’s cartoon of May 11, 2016.
