I was invited by the Miami Herald Editorial Board to meet with them and about 30 other Miami Herald readers who write letters to the Editors for an ice cream social.
This group, made up of people of differing backgrounds, religions and political points of view, came with a desire to express their views.
Every single person in the group, whether they leaned politically to the left or to the right, wants the Miami Herald and el Nuevo Herald to be successful, not only because they are this town’s major newspapers, but also because without the press there is no liberty.
I know this by personal experience very well.
