Memorial Day Luck
We all look at this special day from our own prism. I look at it from a vision of of a fraction of a minute in a day in 1973.
I remember being at El Presidio military base, waiting for the day to ship out to Danang Vietnam, two days to go. I was following the orders to report for processing. I felt scare, not being in control of anything. I thought "it can't get any worse", it was like waiting for a terrible thing to happen.
Then, I saw a group who was returning and I realized that I did not know the meaning of terrible.
