Plastic utensils

Eight-million tons of plastic gets dumped into the ocean each year; a great amount of the plastic consists of utensils. Think of all the times you have thrown away a single-use plastic utensil. Probably often, right? Of all the plastic cutlery used each year only six percent is recycled. Most of it ends up in the ocean or landfills.

There are many ways to help the situation. Use silverware instead or re-use plastic utensils. Restaurants could use utensils made from naturally fallen palm leaves. They are eco-friendly and biodegradable. All in all, do not use plastic utensils. Save our ocean; save our environment; help preserve the earth.
