Sen. Rubio’s focus
In an op-ed about Colombia, Sen. Marco Rubio states: “Ultimately, the wisdom of the peace accord is up to the Colombian people, who can hold their democratically elected leaders accountable at the ballot box next year.” I agree with hte senator — Colombian people are the ones who must decide the future of Colombia.
But Rubio should concentrate his efforts on his job in the United States of America.
The job of representing us, listening to us, meeting with us, the people of Florida.
Writing letters about issues that do not concern him or being a mouthpiece for the Trump White House is not his job. Rubio better realize that he is accountable to we, the people, and that we will remember at the ballot box.
