Honor your parents
This is a rough time of year for some of us. Two celebratory Sundays upon us, and the two, way too close together.
We are bombarded with sales ads: “Buy mom that special gift.” “Get your one and only mother that perfect gift.” “Make sure she’ll love what you got her on her special day.”
For some of us, the only gift we can give our parents are flowers for their graves.
If your parents are still here, make sure this Sunday — and a Sunday in June — you give them the gift that’s not from a store. Think about it, you will come up with one — or more.
