Respect Florida

This is the third year in a row the Florida Legislature has ignored the will of the voters. I am appalled at their arrogance.

In 2014, 75 percent of the voters of this great state said yes to Amendment 1.

Setting aside money for water and land conservation has been a nonpartisan commitment for more than 20 years in Florida. Everyone agreed that protecting our water was good for our tourist-driven economy and supports growth.

Unfortunately, our representatives don’t respect of the very people who put them in Tallahassee.

By not funding Florida Forever with the documentary stamp tax as required by Amendment 1, they are risking the health of people and our economy.

Vote the bums out in 2018!

Diane Johnson,

Boca Raton
