Re the April 23 letter accusing the Miami Herald’s Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist, Jim Morin, of suffering from myopia:
It is his job to open the eyes of those who have a mistaken and misplaced trust in inept or corrupt politicians.
Morin follows in the footsteps of the great Thomas Nast.
He exposed to the illiterate masses of 19th-century New York, the corruption of the Tweed Ring using cartoons to educate their minds.
