Maduro’s slim win
Reporters Cody Weddle and Jim Wyss’s article on protesting Venezuelan patriots’ “mother of all marches” in the April 19 Herald referred to strongman Nicolás Maduro as having been “narrowly elected” in 2013.
His narrow victory then (against Henrique Capriles) was as convincing as Dilma Rousseff’s narrow victory in 2014 in Brazil (against Aécio Neves), and Lenin Moreno’s narrow victory just now in Ecuador (against Guillermo Lasso).
